Future...

-> Very tired, juz finished off night shift, can't slept well.Me always like to day dream and fantasied about stuffs like wedding, marriage life, parenthood. Me and my boyfriend even thought of our babys' name. Recently, I noticed that my filipino colleagues' names are quite long and she told me that it very common to have their name named after their father & mother, so don't be suprised that their name are very long and have four names. Not because they are Angmoh.
-> I want to name my girl Noel , and my bf want to name our boy Zion.I had my fortune telling & hand signs told by a burma occupational therapist before. He said I will have 2 boys, no girl. and i would be a high flyer. Will left for other far country and stay for 2 period of times.Don't know whether it will come true or not. I don't belived in Karma, don't believed in god. I only believe our fate & destiny is within our hands. We had the powers to change and control our life, maybe the circumstances factors are substantial but they dont contributed all.(don't just think you are a loser, you are not born to be one).My philosophy is Must worked hard to get what you want. There is no such free meals in our society. Everything comes with a price.
->Philosophy is the expression of free thoughts of liberation.

When the sun go down...

_> It night shift again.. This is my second round for the month .. Hopefully, nothing big will happened...Although doing nights mean earn more incomes but i would rather not, not because of the 12 hr long shift. It the nurse to patients ratio is 1 nurse to 9 patients, and futhermore if suddenly patient collapses, it would really be a chaos and your time will be so held up with the collapsed case, not to mention about neglecting the rest of the patients nursing care.(alot of bedridden ones, so need to sponge them and do frequent turnings) Not that morning or afternoon shifts dont need to do but it juz too much patients. Hopefully, by the time I come, it will be full house and all those that admitted are walkers and adl independent. Haha ! Fat hope!!
Recently, alot of Dengue fever cases just admitted, and it looked like the epidermic is not getting better. and we called this the "Dengue season". Mi also hope i can ganna bite by ades mosquitoes and fall sick. so that i can escapes the social responsibility and rest in the hospital...
just pray for me, tonight will be a good night...

Nursing

-> In my year of nursing, I had encountered quite some of the tramatic events,I had been thru the sars period. I had patient that grab my hands, collapsed and died in front of me, I can only doing resuscitation and watching helplessly patient ended their last breath or sent them to ICU.(just like those scenes protraying in ER)
what really bring me down is those patients that is unsound, attention seeking and keep harassing nurses, and some of the "chi go beh" patient. (Those uncle who is walker but want young and pretty nurses to sponge them.) You know when hospital keep on emphasising about Patient's rights. Nobody care about Nurses right. Nurses are supposed to bear in slience, endure the humilation and move on. It is sad to said that but this is the truth of the healthcare scene in Singapore.
-> we worked overtime but not being paid overtime, as the task is within your shift work and whatever you can't finish, you had to stay and completed it. If your colleage is nice, She will take over your undone. This is the government setting.
that why nurses are overworked and underpaid. For the nurses to patient ratio one nurse to 6 patients.Sometime with high mc rate, 1 nurse to 8 patients.
-> Nursing is my passion and my childhood ambition. I had dropped chemical engineering to go into nursing. but now I know why there is a shortage of local nurses... I will never given up hope upon nursing, but i will choose to be in private sectors. Maybe after a few more years down the road, nursing will be profession & recognized and nurses will be given authority and treat with respect.
